Fisher Price Digital Arts & Crafts Studio

Got a blinding deal from Argos this week, instead of £39.99 for the mere sum of £19.99 we got this plug in USB arts centre from Fisher Price.

It's fantastic and kid friendly, aged 4 - 9 or so. Emma really likes it although she gets a bit grumpy when she dont know what she is doing.

For £40, hmm not sure if it is worth it, but £20, its a no brainer!

I Have A Date!

At last my new company car has finally got a date!

Guess when it is.. yep.. 29th February 2008

1 day before the '08 plate! So I have managed to convince them to hold on for 1 more day to ensure I get an '08 plate.

I'll just be glad to get it, the old tractor is doing 35mpg and losing air out of all the tyres as usual. Pulling away leaves a smoke trail behind that would out shine one of James Bond's cars!

I have to wait for pedestrations to clear a safe zone when starting from cold, not sure about carbon footprint, damn sure about the plumes of smoke.

It's Been A Funny Old Week

What joyous weather this week has given us, rain, rain and more rain!

It's annual review time in FJ, that time where you fill in tons of useless paperwork for absolutely no reason other than to tick boxes! I am bracing myself for my 1.9% payrise or less! Every year it seems more and more pointless, even my career manager has given up on the idea of it being any use. The powers to be expect people to review 5 people in one day, now that's spending a long time "Investing in People" isn't it!

On a plus point I got my £100 worth of Argos vouchers for a Bronze Award, which I decided to spend on a portable electronic keyboard. I did want the Yamaha EZ200, but good old Argos don't stock it! So it might end up being CASIO one........

Nintendo UK - First Class Customer Service..... NOT!!!

Now I need to explain something first, so that the rest of this makes sense! With the Wii you can purchase additional channels or old DreamCube games, for this you need Wii Points. Now the are ways of getting these points, by purchasing them from retailers etc, but you can also get them online from Nintendo. Or you are meant to be able to.

You also can get them by registering you official Nintendo products online for which you get Nintendo Stars (which you can also use to buy Wii Points, allegedly!).

So I registered all my products, giving me enough stars to get 500 Wii Points, which is exactly enough for the Wii Internet Browser.

So I tried to buy the 500 points online, and to my amazement they only had 100 point cards available, so I thought ok I'll get 5. So I bought one, and then tried to get the 2nd, only to be told you can only purchase.

So I keep trying over the weeks ahead to get to the pathetic total of 500 Wii points, but alas they have never got any points! So this is really starting to feck me right orrf now, time to email Nintendo customer service.
So I put all my gripes dowm on paper (so to speak), and sent it off to them. Well what happened? I'll tell you what... NOTHING!!!!
After 5 days they responded with a "Dear Customer, bla bla bla if you still have a problem reply to this email and included the original problem".... errrm WTF!! So they deleted/ignored the original email and hoped the problem would go away.

Well done Nintendo, not only do you suck for producing 3 Wii per month for the whole world, but your customer service is even worse!

I was beggining to think the whole Nintendo Wii thing was smart and slick, but it sucks to be honest. Microsoft Xbox 360 points are so much easier to get, so well done MS!

Oh and still wait for a reply from DimTenDo CussTerMare Service!

Codie's 5th Birthday Party @ Fuzzy Eds

Emma went to her friend's birthday party Saturday at a local soft play place. It was so noisy in there it was untrue, I could not wait to get out of there! Anyway here's a picture of my little monkey with two party hats!IMG_5578

1st Week Back To Work

Well it's the end of the 1st week back to work, what can I say, it's been a bloody long week.

Time seems to stand still in that place, it's the place to go when you have a long goodbye to make!!

What weather we had on Friday, I was driving home in the snow Friday evening, it was all gone by Saturday.

There's a hardcore of people at work that make going there everyday bearable, they know who they are (Steve/Jules/Adrian/Emma/Shelley/Dave/Neil/Lynne). Here's looking forward to next week!

The Nintendo Wii

Now I am first to admit I thought the Nintendo range of consoles/handhelds are for kids and girlies (woofters included).

But I have to say I take it all back for the Wii!!

After managing to acquire one before Christmas for the non inflated price of £180, I can't tell you how  much fun we had with my parents playing it at Christmas. I was in stitches watching my Dad who is 62 going at the boxing game like Rocky Balboa!! My Mum was creasing up too, and that was just creating the "Mii's"!

Catherine seems to be top at the bowling for the moment, highest score of 185, although I have come close a few times. Emma is really good at it too, she has a record of about 130 ish, which is excellent for a 4 year old in my opinion, she loves playing bowling.

Take a look at www.wiifolder.com for an upcoming game called Wii Fit, it looks superb, I shall deffo be getting it. Imagine getting fitter whilst playing a console, what a brilliant idea!

Emma's Bedroom

Can't remember if I said Emma was sleeping in her own room now or not.

Here's a picture of her new bed and bedspread from Next. We are still waiting for the curtains and pictures etc.

Car Update

Got an email yesterday putting the delivery back for about 3 weeks for the new Mondeo, I hope it isn't the start of things to come!
